Friends, I am so excited! I’ve done my very first guest post!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with “guest posting,” in blogging, it means that another blog invites you to write a post on their blog, or the writer of another blog writes a post on your blog. But you don’t want to guest post with just any blog! It’s very important to genuinely want to build community with the readers of each others’ blogs.
Let me just tell you, when Michelle, the founder of Iron Rose Sister Ministries (IRSM) approached me about guest posting on her blog, I didn’t have to think twice!
As excited as I am about guest posting, it’s not all about me!
Here’s the deal: If you are interested in this blog, I can almost guarantee that you’ll be interested in IRSM and the work they are doing!
You see, Iron Rose Sister Ministries’ mission is “Equipping women to connect to God and one another more deeply.”
I knew Michelle back in college and we’ve reconnected in more recent years. She and I have a common interest in Latin American missions and women’s ministry. Michelle founded IRSM several years ago, and my husband and I have been keen to support her efforts to reach out to women in the US and overseas, not only in English, but in Spanish, too!
In fact, we are currently in the throes of planning for Michelle to come speak to us at our church’s Ladies Day next month, and are just thrilled about how the experience will benefit our bilingual ministry.
Michelle asked me to share my take on “Simplicity” and I was glad to do so!
While you’re there, take a few minutes to click around and learn more about IRSM!
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15b
