The older I get, the more I recognize the relationship between having a clean, organized and clutter-free home and workspace, and being able to have clarity of mind and strong mental and emotional focus.
One way I’ve learned to keep physical clutter to a minimum is to employ the Konmari method of organizing and decluttering.
I’m the type of person who will gladly spend half an hour tidying and cleaning the kitchen before I start to cook the next meal. Can you sympathize? To me, it’s worth the extra time and energy because I know that my cooking experience will be so much more enjoyable and that I’ll be in a happier mood, and an oh-so-more-delightful person to be around throughout the rest of the evening.
Don’t misunderstand me–This is not an exercise in perfection! Sometimes we get disorganized and that’s just life! There’s no need to beat ourselves up over it.
But the fact remains, taking the time to put a few systems in place that will keep our family’s schedule and home in order lends to our sense of “hygge,” which in turn translates into a sense of comfort, coziness, connectedness, and stabililty!
Along these same lines, I’ve become an (almost) paperless kind of gal. I don’t keep hard copies of lots of things I used to, now that so much is available online or can be scanned and saved on a computer.
I figure, the less I have to keep up with and clean, the more time I’ll have to do the things that really matter to me and my family!
That’s why I LOVE the idea behind e-resources such as the Conquer Your Clutter Super Bundle! It’s so simple, so straightforward and so affordable!
